William Verhelle Presents to Executives in Moscow

Fairport, NY (November 26, 2008) – Following presentations in New Orleans, Madrid, and Sydney this year, First American CEO William Verhelle presented at the Russian Association of Leasing Companies’ (Rosleasing) international conference in Moscow. As the 2008 Chairman of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA), Verhelle discussed the challenges and opportunities present in the U.S. equipment finance marketplace.

Verhelle was joined by Alun Richards, principal of The Alta Group, in discussing the international experience of raising capital in today’s marketplace. They provided timely insight into the strategies employed by leasing companies to ensure liquidity amidst a challenging credit environment. Other sessions at the conference included discussions on risk management, tax developments, and security strategy.

The Russian Association of Leasing Companies’ (Rosleasing) conference took place on November 26, 2008 in Moscow. The theme of the 2008 Convention was "Leasing Activity: Risk Assessment and Financing". The conference was attended by an international group of leasing executives. Rosleasing is a member of Leaseurope, which brings together leasing and financing associations across Europe.
