FAEF Raises More Than $10,000 For Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester

Fairport, NY (February 28, 2009) – First American Equipment Finance raised more than $10,000 through its participation in the 2009 Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for the Kids’ Sake event on February 28. More than 150 First American employees, family members and friends supported the event.

First American has been a supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester since 2003 and was the not-for-profit’s largest corporate sponsor in 2008. In addition to company sponsorship and participation in events, several First American employees have volunteered as big brothers and big sisters to local young people. First American Vice President Michael Wiedemer, a former big brother, currently serves as the Big Brothers Big Sisters board president. First American Vice President-Finance Adam Fay was elected to the not-for-profit’s board in 2008.

"The company and my colleagues at First American have demonstrated considerable generosity and commitment to our community," Wiedemer said. "Their support is critical to Big Brothers Big Sisters, especially during these tough economic times."
